Why was Miltiades hounded off the Cyprus Forum?
The STUPID decision to ban him for using the word 'STUPID' is stupid in itself. If the word 'STUPID' is construed as being foul language, then I dont know what foul language is.
We have seen foul, obscene language uttered on this forum by many others, but why pick on Miltiades.
Perhaps there is a hidden agenda here, like getting rid of moderates from the forum. What a load of bullshit.
Come on admin what your game? Or have we been mis-informed by Miltiades.
Miltiades, you also have made a STUPID decision to leave the forum.

Hello,
This is what Miltiades claimed. Not what happened.
Miltiades used a lot of abusive language against several members and he continued doing so even after he and another member were warned on the 18th of Oct. Here is an example from a post he made on the 19th http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=365118
He was banned temporarily because he continued using abusive language and personal attacks even after he was warned. This was not the first time he was warned for his language. He was involved in a similar incident in July and earlier.
A temporary ban meant that Miltiades had the chance to continue participating in the forum as long as he understood that he had to correct his behavior. With the last post that he made in the forum it became apparent that he had no desire for doing this.
I hope you understand that I can not allow the forum to be filled with threads that are nothing more than an exchange of foul language and personal attacks. At the very least I expect from members to cooperate when they are warned.
If anybody has any further questions or complains about this issue should contact me via a PM.
If Miltiades wants to return to the forum he should contact me by email.

There are far more worse language uttered by others too.
I see it as a case of double standards. My first encounter with Miltiades was about his foul language. Whilst I do not condone this, I feel he is being singled out, if you wish to clean up the forum please do so, but apply it to all. Thats all I have to say.

I am also agree with you . Lots of worse languages and lots of worse word about nations as well .We must learn to respect others nations and flags or religions as well . With insulting eachother does not help at all and some of us claming how civiliesed we are .

In July two other members were temporarily banned in a similar case where Miltiades was also involved. At that time Miltiades cooperated after receiving the warning and that is how he avoided the ban.
I can't read every single post made in the forum and delete every post using some foul language or ban every member with the first rule violation. I don't have the time for that. Even if I could do that I don't believe many members would like it. I intervene either when I receive a specific complain or when things get out of hand at which point I expect from members to cooperate.
If anybody has any further questions or complains about this issue should contact me via a PM. I do what I can and I believe I am fair or at least I am not intentionally unfair. If you believe I am stupid and I take stupid decisions then there is nothing forcing you to continue participating here.
