It was a rhetorical question!

It smacked of crude generalisation to me.

Perhaps in your small judgemental mind.

What was so crude and judgemental about my post.

The fact is that the TCs are joined to the hip with their motherland and they remind us just about daily how they depend on their motherland to guarantee their safety.

That also describes your stupid behavior to which you are seemingly blind. Nobody will ever have any respect for you for as long as you assume that you're entitled to two sets of rules.

In case you’re wondering, I am not after the respect of a sleaze bucket.

Also, you make a very could point but it is a pity that you are too blind to see the hypocrisy.

It is the TCs that are demanding a permanent attachment to their motherland. We gave up on these ideals long ago.

But the ideal of holding on to our Hellenic heritage and cultural links will go on as they have done so for 4,000 years.

Dumb Arse!

I piss on your "Hellenic heritage" now bugger off loser!

Who is the loser?

You left Australia because the country chewed you up and spat you out.

You could not make it in the big smoke, so you did what any Horkate would do - retreat to a smaller aquarium and swim with other small fish!

You are the one that has plenty in common with Miltiades.

Both of you have the same views with only slight variances. You are also both typical Cypriot Horkates.

Grow up fool. You are suppose to be in your 40s.

You are the only one who thinks Turkey is the direct equivalent to Greece when it comes to historical links to Cyprus!

Tell me who is your country's enemy right now GR!

Turkey or Greece?

The same rules should apply everywhere.

Take Asia Minor for example. Who named Asia Minor as Turkey? There is a Greek and other minorities in Asia Minor, still they call that territory as the Land of the Turks (Turkey). Why? Did the Greeks living there want their homeland to be called Turkey? Did they approve this?

If Turks have the right to call the land where they are the majority as being Turkish, then why can't the Greeks do the same with their own territories and islands (which include Cyprus)?

Even more, the Turks came much later in Asia Minor than many of the other people there, while we, not only are the vast majority of this island (and always have been), but we are also the ones who existed on this island for far longer than any other minority. So why can't we call our own island as we wish?

Yes, the same rules should apply everywhere, and this is exactly what we are arguing here. If the Turks have the right to declare Asia Minor as bring Turkish, then we have the right to declare Cyprus as being Hellenic 100 times, because that is exactly what Cyprus is, and we are not going to give up our rights or our identity just because some foreigners want to.

Those foreigners have violated our rights and occupied our island for centuries against our will, and when colonialism and empire building went out of fashion they decided to use some minority on our island as an excuse to continue denying to us our freedom and self-determination.

Cyprus will remain an independent, but Hellenic, state which (unlike Turkey) will respect and protect the identity of all other ethnic groups which exist on this island and who are equal Cypriot citizens but do not have the right to undemocratically impose their will or erase the history and identity of this island just because this would serve the geopolitical interests of Turkey.

I am not a vacillator!

Of course a Muslim such as yourself does not know about the re-birthing experience, the baptism with fire and water!

Having doused oneself with the well-waters of The Taygetos, it is now the turn of the Paphian spring waters to complete the cycle, as Aphrodite prepares to meet Apollo!

Is Sparky going to light the fire?
