The Icelandic attributes that Cyprus would be very lucky to emulate are a totally eco-friendly electricity supply and no military.

Unfortunately most of the Cyprus entries for the Eurovision Song Contest are the calibre of Bjork!

Agreed but 12 points are guaranteed from Greece :)

Cyprus is a very conservative economy
Yes and its real estate has out priced all markets especially the UK.
It is also (especially after the introduction of the Euro) a very expensive holiday destination.
But for sheer unfaltering optimism and a blinkered approach to world economics it should win prizes

You betcha! A country that was revived and resurrected after complete disaster in 1974 has nothing to fear from minor misfortunes like the latest. 8)
