Chinese grocery store in Cyprus?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

I have never seen dim sum in Cyprus but for a large selection of vegetables you might be able to use, try Debenham's in Limassol. They always have a fresh supply of ginger, I have seen bean sprouts, but not sure about other veggies like bok choy and choy sum etc because I haven't looked. There is chinese cabbage, cilantro, okra etc so I guess one could improvise:) They do have some asian fruit (no Durian):). There is probably a debenham's in Nicosia too, where the old woolworth used to be, but I am just guessing. Your Embassy here might be able to help too.

During my stay there, I was craving for chinese and I refuse to go to the Chinese restaurants there. I know its "fake" chinese food. I want to find the ingredients so that I can cook at home. I want to be healty, and I want whole foods, nothing processed, nothing labeled.

I've thought about sprouting. It's not hard. But there's got to be more veggie selections in Cyprus.

I'm just preparing myself for some homecooking in case I get homesick.

When in Cyprus, live the Cypriot way.

CBBB, thank you for that link to the article. Lawsonia, thank you for the info. I have been to the Debenham's in Limissol and I found a lot of asian products but didn't see any fresh vegetables. I might have missed it while walking down the aisle. I'll check again when im there. Hazza, a Chinese Grocer in Nicosia? PERFECT! I;ll wait for you to get back to me on the street name.

Thank you all!

Living the Cypriot way is what I need to do...but i need time to adapt because I will be moving there from a big city where there is a huge asian community.

Cyprus is georgeous! I love the island life, the beaches, the weather, and the people. And I can't wait until I am there permanently!

a266, its in the Pallouriotissa area at the end of John Kennedy. If I get a chance to go past it this week, I'll grab the telephone number for you.

Good luck with the move.
