I think Cyprus has maybe a tat more non-gang related violence then reported.

A hoax letter and suspected package were found against the wall in front of the Israeli Embassy two days ago. Certainly, not gang related, but it does show a sign of some very bold people.
Tuesday evening some people were caught trashing an ancient Ottoman Turk Cemetery near Lakatamia.

Today's Cyprus Weekly (no George Lanitis ) reports that Cyprus has the lowest crime rate in the EU; I suppose it all depends on how you define crime. If you included traffic-related crime???

What I do find funny about gang related trouble is when I was there two years ago...some local kid made a rap song called 'Fuck Paralimni' lol...hahahaha (it was terrible)...but had kinda overtones of that who gang turf thing. This dickhead was seriously trying to get the local radio stations to play it just because his friend at the time was oneof the 2 billion members of the UK's So Solid Crew.

It's funny how the whole gang-related violance thing has slowly and gradually slipped into Cyprus...although this is on a very very light scale now.

Anyway, last I heard...the song was getting passed around the internet by British GC as a light hearted joke.
