Rent first! We know Cyprus quite well having lived there in the Forces and visted at least 20 times in the last few years; but it is safer to rent first than burn your bridges.

Like everything you need to do your research. Schooling is very good in Cyprus. Personally I would head towards Limassol more work better schools. Estimate approx. Euro 3,000 – 4,000 per year per child for schooling.

Big demand for accountants in Cyprus

Tattoo parlor’s currently in Cyprus are very dingy places for the rough and ready. No one in Cyprus has tried to go a little up market, spend a little money on the premises, advertise, etc. Also tattoos are becoming popular with the locals as well. Like everything, location, marketing, quality of the product all very important.

Renting is a good idea. But in reality you will know whether Cyprus is for you within the first few months. Try to avoid areas whether there are lots of Brits (no disrespect).

Make an effort to mingle with the locals, try to learn the language. Understand that you are not in the UK so take the good with the bad and remember the reasons you moved to Cyprus.

Lastly AVOID mourners and people who are constantly putting down the place, as they usually have an agenda and are unhappy in general and their unhappyiness has nothing to do with Cyprus but with themselves.
