This man has lived in Sydney all his life, for heavens sake.

That’s either a metaphor I don't get or you’re posting in the wrong thread…

ps: Cypriots speak straight and don't beat around the bush.

So he's decided he knows what the streets of the ROC are decorated with?

This proves something disturbing. He is so used to the busts and statues of ataturk in every village and roundabout that he immediately assumes the same goes on over here. This can be transffered to many things. A lot of things Big Al has accused the GC's of doing or planning to do in case of a solution are mostly things he would have thought of doing himself!

The person making the claim that there are statues of Sampson on the streets of Cyprus has, to the best of my knowledge, lived in Sydney all his life. My point was that TCs actually living on the island know better, so you should not generalise based on this single example.

I was not trying to imply that YOU live in Sydney. I should have made myself clearer. Mea culpa.

I had no way of knowing if you were talking about Al, or yourself and I don't like to jump to conclusions...

My conclusion that TCs are utterly ignorant to facts is based on 3 years of debating with them and I think that’s more than enough.

I find them quite direct in their approach
"Replying to a question regarding the British bases in the island, Millet said: “The bases are important for the United Kingdom. We want to continue our military operations here and for this reason we want stability, security and prosperity on the island." - end of quote

I have never seen a statue of Samson in Cyprus. I have seen 2 statues of Makarios, and about 1000 statues of Ataturk when on a day visit in the "trnc".
