It will effect Cyprus in the long run, I dont think anywhere will escape the recession, there will definitely be a knock on effect. :(

I can guarantee you that Cyprus will not be effected much. Cypriots are too resilient and resourceful for that. Survival under difficult circumstances is nothing new to Cypriots.

No offence mate but that is utter rubbish. How can you say that you will not be effected? Are you a financial guru?

Nothing to worry about Z4, you have a guarantee. Cyprus will no doubt survive but that does not mean it will not be affected. Most foreign property buyers are tourists at some stage, follow the logic, fewer tourists =fewer foreign property sales.

Nope. But I understand the Cypriot mentality, and I can tell you that Cypriots are hardened. This economic downturn is nothing compared to other catastrophes Cyprus has faced, and still does face such as occupation.

Property prices are of no concern either as Cypriots sell sparingly. Cypriots are astute and very aggressive in business. Mark my words. Cyprus will be the least effected country in the EU.

I am sorry, but you are talking BS Paphitis, Cyprus is already being affected.

Why might not have it as bad as many others, but we are already feeling the effects. We have already adjusted our growth rate downwards and I am sure that this will be done again in the very near future.

I know we have ostrich farms here, but I didn't realise the animal was indigenous.
