Sorry to steal your thunder, Halil, but I spotted the following small comment in Ülker Fahri's column in Friday's Afrika newspaper:

(my translation)

In the field of tourism, last week a first was experienced in the history of the TRNC. A cruise ship for the first time anchored at a North Cyprus port, carrying 110 British tourists to boot. The party, which was greeted with flowers by the Kyrenia Municipal popular dance group, visited places of historical and touristic interest in Kyrenia.

You would think that, thanks to the successful policies followed by the government, the "embargoes" had been lifted!!!!

If you read the story carefully, you will see that all the fanfare about a first being experienced is actually a lie, and that the Bahama-flagged cruise ship which in fact set sail from Istanbul on a trip within Turkish waters calling at Antalya, Kyrenia and Kusadasi before returning to Istanbul was a Turkish ship.

Still, it must have brightened up their boring "embargoed" lives

Maybe I'll sail my Drascombe Lugger up there one day ......

Here is the links from the newspapers Tim ,
Show me where i said in my writing that ship was carring Bahama -flagged. Or other things that you are saying .

Ülker Fahri can write his own ideas Tim , Read again what the news papers says . I don't know from where he got his claims . News was on the all tv channels . Were they all speaking lies ?

Bir Amerikan turizm şirketinin Türkiye’nin güney sahillerinde düzenlediği tur kapsamında KKTC’den Kyrenia Holidays organizasyonuyla ülkeye gelen geminin yolcuları, Girne’nin tarihi ve turistik yerlerini gezdikten sonra saat 18.00’de ülkeden ayrılarak Mısır’ın Port Said Limanı’na doğru yol aldı.

Why is your thread so misleadingly titled and posted in the CyProb section???

It should be "first time TURKISH cruiser in Kyrenia" and posted in the bloody Tourist section you corrupt Turkish clown!

It is curious that all three articles tell us that the vessel was a "pocket cruiser passenger ship", but fail to give its name. OK, the story may be true, but this is a little odd, don't you think?

Mate, Bayrak's own report says that the ship carried the Bahamas flag, and even gives its name - the Island Sky.
