Just curious. Is the term "pom" used only for the English, or for people from all parts of Britain.

In Australia it is primarily used for the English,usually as in "Whingeing pommy bastard!!!!"....But i am sure some other British people would have copped it as well...Aussies are not very selective about who to insult..... :)

Although pommy is fairly specific, I like the way that a few years ago any western looking white person here would be called an "Englezos" which then may qualified by saying they are from America or Australia, etc.

This seems to have died out in the last 10 years and other groupings are used.
