Has anybody been a victim of a speed ticket ruse.

If so let off a little steam here.

One week ago I was driving behind a car on a motorway with around 140kmph. The first car drove past a police radar, I was stopped. I am not really sure why he didn't stopped the car in front of me.

Anyways, from now on I am updating my camera warnings for Cyprus on my GPS. Hopefully in few months I will preatty much have all the possible locations of the radars on the Highway. It is frustrating to be ticketed for 122 kmph. Next car will have cruise control.

Just wondering, in a country which is 140 miles by 60 miles (now subtract the occupied parts and it is a lot smaller) why do you need to move at 120 Kph?

Driving across country is a phrase loaded with meaning from the road movies of Hollywood, but they are talking about a country which is 4000 miles wide, not 60.

How much difference will it make if you travel to Limassol at 70 kph instead of 120? You still get there before lunchtime!

I know for a fact i got done three times this year. Leaving a big hole in my pocket.

They recently got me done for 122kmph, so what if its 22 over 100. The b*****d police are only just raking revenue. They try to tell you to change your driving licence from a british one to a cyprus one. Well Tough S**T. I got another 4 years to change it, and I will renew it in manchester at my sisters address.

So if any off duty police are seeing this message then I got one thing to say UP YOURS PIGS.

In one year I got up to 11 points,so had to be careful(and very lucky) for 3 years. Was very lucky not to get banned. This year most have been wiped off. :) Its the 50kpm speed limit that used to catch me out,its a slow speed and easy to drift up.But more careful now,and got handsfree as well
