I dare you to start a thread and prove this. If not then you're talking HORSESHIT!

Google the name of he first President of the Cyprus Supreme Constitutional Court, Ernst Forsthoff, who resigned in May 1963 following Makarios’ public statement that even if the Supreme Constitutional Court ruled against what he was doing to municipalities then he would ignore it (to a Daily Express correspondent). Also to UPI following the attacks in December 1963, 'All this happened because Makarios wanted to remove all constitutional rights from the Turkish Cypriots’. Also reported in Die Welt.

You are supposed to google it and give us the links if you are trying to prove a point, not us!

It doesn’t work like that in political debates!

You do NOT ask people to “Google and see!” …you are making a fool of yourself now.

You are to conduct YOUR OWN RESEARCH and present us with the case FOR the argument BEFORE making sweeping statements thank you.

NB: NOBODY SHOULD RESBOND HERE ANY FURTHER UNTIL HE DOES HIS HOMEWORK.

The 1960 Constitution was not a result of the free will of the Cypriot people, but something which was forced on the Cypriot people by the British and the Turks to serve the Turkish and British interests and violate the rights of the native Cypriot people.

What Makarios did was 100% according to the law. Of course he wanted to remove the unfair gains the Turks were given against the Cypriots for helping the British oppress the revolution of the Cypriot people. But he did so in perfectly legal ways.

The Turkish minority in Cyprus should have the same rights as the Greek minority in Turkey. Not more, not less.

Indeed, I would go as far as to say that the 1960 Constitution was a neo-colonial solution in the disproportionate power it gave to a minority group and by the overall power of intervention it gave to outside countries and so would, by any modern standards, be deemed a forced agreement and therefore illegal and not binding.

It was clearly an agreement that was obtained by force and blackmail and which served the interests of others, and not of the native Cypriot people. We have been oppressed by British, Turks and others for centuries and we deserved freedom and self-determination, and not what some colonialists imposed on us against our will.

Thats not the question here. Observer said that Makarios destroyed the Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus. He was asked to prove this point, his response was "go google it"

Can Bill and Piratis refrain from letting Observer off thank you?

He made a sweeping statement now let him prove it or swallow his words.

Let's give him 48 hours to respond and if he fails then we can let him have it.
