Hold on! High regard is a bit rich! :lol:

But in as much as I believe the US was key to the Cyprus problem, it is now locked in the reversal of fortunes necessary for a solution.

I’ve lost count how many times Cypriots thought the new US president would favor their interests…pretty much the same goes on all over the world! Even the Tamil Tigers tonight probably think they’re a step closer to “self-determination”! :roll:

Hhmm ... what do you mean by "just negroes" :?

In the States (and the UK), people of mixed parentage are generally "grouped" within the most dominant phenotype (in this case negroid features). So they would have had the (almost) same prejudices as most "pure" blooded African Americans.

Although I suspect in Obama's case, it helped that they made a big point of his "white" maternal line ......
