SHOULD CONFIDENTIALITY OF PMs BE BREACHED.

Postby miltiades » Sat Oct 18, 2008 10:48 am

I'm rather perturbed that a PM of mine sent to a member has been made public on this forum.
I have received hundreds of PMs and I have sent an equal number , with one notable exception , that of FANOS DROUSIOTIS , I would never contemplate making public what is an otherwise an "intimate" and very personal communication between two adult members.
May I just explain the Fanos Drousiotis "incident" to those that are new to the forum.
FANOS made an appeal on this forum raising money for the T/C Cancer centre Tulip . As it turned out he was a swindler and a low down con man. I responded , he kept my donation and upon denying that he gave me instructions as to how to send the money , I was forced to publish his PM in which he clearly instructed me to the best method of sending him the money .

Although he , a G/C defrauded the T/C Cancer fund of £100 , this here G/C not only made good the loss but has raised further sums of money donated by a wide spectrum of forum members. The efforts are still continuing to this day.

Back to the matter of PM confidentiality , I shall not be deterred in sending PMs to friends since the contents would be respectable and friendly , but will never post someones PM on the forum.

Get a life idiot.

You made insinuations that another member was making advances upon you.

It seems you are just another Cypriot Horkati, after a bit of attention.

I will also warn you yet again old fart. Do not send anymore negative PMs regarding my character. If you have anything to say, then be a man and say it to my face!!

I agree that pm's should be kept private, if anyone gets an offensive one they can forward it to admin and let them deal with it.

Can Admin work it so PM's do stay private and therefore making it impossible for them be copied/forwarded/pasted either on this forum or in any other places etc.

ADMIN?

NO! People should also take responsibility for what they write, even in PMs. When Miltiades made unseemly allegations about another member, then that member has a right to use whatever means necessary to defend themselves.

I disagree - the 'injured party' should take it up with ADMIN and let them decide the correct course of action.

To air one's dirty washing in public is DEFINITELY NOT the correct path - believe me, I have made the same mistake!

Hey Plonker , I did that in response to Oracle posting that I had emailed her requesting her assistance , she has corrected this now so everyone knows that I did not PM her , she did this because I responded to her false allegation by also making false allegations , tit for tat as it were .
Plonker did you have to come back , you lost the bloody poll and you posted your own tombstone , now get lost boy

Get a life dimwit.

The only persons that should be complaining are those that were defamed within that PM. Those individuals are myself, Floda and Maynard (I think - as I can not remember).

Apart from that, the PM was harmless...hardly dirty laundry.

But this does not dissolve the individual from taking responsibility for his venomous bile targetting other member's character.

Get a life, and talk about something morfe interesting whilst having your tea and scones!!

I think it is you that lost the poll. And apart from this, you declared the poll "null and void" because your land slide did not materialise.

Face it old fart. I have a lot of support on this forum. But never think for 1 second that my purpose here is solely to acqaint anyone. I have a view and I am not afraid of expressing it, despite you trying to silence me.

You are also a veteran at creating polls, so you have a ready reserve of 10 or so accounts. You even signed up your whole family. Hope you enjoyed your Pasticio in Cyprus, wanker!!!
