If you haven't been there for 25 years you should shut up!

I have heard that there are supposed to be about 20,000 Russian residents of Limassol, but I am not sure which part of town they live in. I never notice any Russians in residential parts of Limassol. Does anybody know where they live?

I think the highway more or less splits the two. CBBB is almost certainly referring to the former when he speaks of an area full of yobs. The old village area, where there is a lot of development going on, is very pleasant and I for one would be happy to live there.

Tim,
Many thanks for your sensible reply. The area of germasoya I am refering to is in the village or adjacent to it, not by the see.
I have interest in land in that location and wondered about its marketability.
Cheers all the same.

This is only along the road from where I am, and I have previously made reference to frenetic building activity that is going on here in Agios Athanasios. I am sure the same applies to the nicer parts of Germasoya. There are so many factors to take into account - as I am sure you know - hill views, sea views, building density and type of people in the area, distance to shops and other amenities etc.

And also the fact that the property market is pretty dead at the moment, so people will not be getting the prices they want for land or property.
