It boils down to your IP address again doesn't it? ... and the fact you do not have a BBC TV licence fee paid (to use in Cyprus).

i understand this,but i do pay it in the uk and when i am not there i think its fair that i can watch it here?

They have some funny rules :) ... like if you have a holiday home in the UK, you need another license for there as well, or if you have a TV in a caravan and spend more than X number of days touring in it with a TV, you need a separate, second license or if you take in a lodger, even though you may already have a TV license for the whole house and you may have a TV in every room, you still need another licence for that specific room ... and I think now, even if you do not have a TV but have a computer that can pick up certain things ... again you will need a TV licence.

I used some proxies to access BBC IPlayer... sometimes they work, sometimes they dont :(

thnx ray i been doing this bt it only works for a bit,im sure there must be a way mate ????
