Well I just find that apologising (and being forgiven) just leaves the coast clear for doing it again

And pray ... what do you hear on a typical Sunday in Kyrenia?

What do you mean Eric? The Patron saint of Cyprus is Saint Barnabas and the Patron Saint of Scotland is Saint Andrew.

How does a Christian like yourself reconcile living in an illegally occupied, racially segregated land?

It's that deja vu assumptionising again. Firstly that I'm Christian and secondly that I'm currently domiciled in a place of segregation. But seriously though and with apologies to Barnabas, wasn't there a shared patron saint from July 15-20th, 1974?

Not assumptions but deductions:

1. From you saying "land sharing for the Christians among us" (using "for" instead of "with").

2. Your Location (Kyrenia) ... a racially segregated, illegally occupied land.

Or does repenting just mean forgetting?

But who was the shared Patron saint between Scotland and Cyprus?

Well guilt is a useless emotion, unless it spurs you to set things right.

So is it that you don't suffer guilt or that you've honed the skill (inborn from what you say  ) of carrying on regardless?

This would be a skill that our Turkish neighbours may wish to master...to set things right! It is all about self improvement after all. :)
