Nikiforos is cancelled

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Nikiforos is cancelled

Postby DT. » Mon Oct 13, 2008 1:52 pm

Those of us looking forward to a little paintballing exercise will be dissapointed as Nikiforos (annual millitary exercise for those who don't know) has been cancelled as announced by the President.

We are waiting for the announcement of Taurus's (turkish occupation army exercise) cancellation.

Absolutely terrible news.

To allow the degradation of the nations defences is a social irresponsibility.

Just wondering what your military plans are in time of need... do you plan to throw your pussy cat at the enemy or run?

I in total sincerety hope this does not result in a repeat of the Lminitis disaster, where "tit" did not turn into "tat".

Will also render Cyprus defenceless. Very foolish.

Are you sure Cyprus is under occupation? :?

Do you see Israel disarming?

Mark my words, when the Turks leave, the Israeli's may be the island's next occupier. But I guess you guys are so use to being ruled over.

So sad!

You can go further back than that Tim, when Nikiforos was cancelled under Clerides but Taurus went ahead

Just wondering what your military plans are in time of need

time of need you mean time of Turkey invading and capturing the whole island ? Just I dont see this happening and the risk of that is almost 0 especially now .why wasting money and resources that could have put in other places . transport , education etc

The decision to cancel Nikiphoros was taken by our OWN President and not by myslef . Good decision.

The chances of the TAF advancing further is ZERO, but than again that's not what GR and Co are waiting for either.
