Bananiot,

Are you allergic to resistance of all kings and in all its forms? From your posts I wonder how you would have advisde the Yugoslav partisans, the Greek guerrillas in WWII, the British against the Nazis. If you perceive the adversary in any way stronger then you automatically surrender, hoping for what? A change of attitude or an opportunity to screw him when you get stronger?

There are plenty of alternatives; pleading for mercy and looking forward to a busy life of serfdom comes to mind...

There's a religious leader called Nikiforos who should be terminated... or should that read exterminated? :?

This is yet another sad day and a poor performance of Mr X.

I have now totally lost all confidence in this tosser to uphold our side, what a waste.

Nothing, I mean NOTHING should be conceeded until we have a solution. These are just childish maneuvers to get the press talking. What a sad day. We should mourn this day not be joyful.

Nest he will be getting the white flag out and Bananiot can have all the pleasure by walking over to his mama.

Sad very sad

The national guard is by definition a defensive force. It does not and never had offensive capabilities. We achieve nothing by downgrading it. Cancelling defensive exercises gains no points at all with anyone.

Nikitas, under normal circumstances you would be right...
But now when the two leaders are talking about peace and reuniting our homeland,I believe it makes perfect sense and timing to bilaterally cancel these silly war games...The psychological effect created in the minds of the two communities, let alone in the minds of the military powers that be,justifies this wise move...I am cautiously optimistic that they finally mean business... 8) 8)

Birkibrisli,
It is not the first time that this kind of exersises cancelled in Cyprus .

desicion was taken before Birkibrisli , have a look what published in Yenidüzen . How TC's side was decided before to cancel it .

It is promising,Halil...As I said in another post it would not have been helpful to go ahead with Wargames when you are negotiating Peace...
My cheeky post above is intended to remind people that the TC side has to work just a bit harder to reduce the influence of the Military in running the place...Cancelling the Toros games is a good start... 8)
