i am willing to trust christofias. it is a big risk. i'm thinking kasoulides would not have gotten this far, and Tpap would have sent angry signals that have already caused (or continued to bring) us harm.
mathematically, it may be something marginally larger in terms of the training lost. and as i have said, training for other matters just as important although rarer is for this year an option.

did you know that Turkey is a major contributor of troops for UN missions. Cyprus in this arena is not competing. as we know, firefighting is a matter of logistics, and manpwer trained to fight a forest ablaze. as a resource, it is a small step we take to direct the Force's energy (some of the time) to matters, other than armed defense.
and in terms of our International development this step is courageous, as it is an act of non-violence, and it will receive support from the communities with which we exchange, globally.
