Thanks for your endorsement, although I think the "true Cypriot" is a bit over the top. I am foreigner who has lived here for a couple of years.
Satire can be a dangerous tool with which to attack racism. I imagine you know the Scottish-born Australian songwriter and singer Eric Bogle. He wrote a song some time ago entitled "I hate wogs":

The first time I ever heard this song, it had me in stitches because it totally destroys the racist world view from within. Eric Bogle clearly has left-wing views, and he is on record as stating that this is an anti-racist song. However, certain Australian racists apparently failed to appreciate the satire and for a while adopted this song as a kind of anthem, while on the other hand certain anti-racist groups, also unable to fathom the subtleties of satire, attacked Bogle for being a racist!
Clearly one who tries to point out irony of somebody from China aligning themselves with an ideology which, among other things, defines the "other" in terms of having slant eyes and coming from Asia ends up facing the same kind of attacks. Somehow the concept of international solidarity between racists and extreme nationalists strikes me as being a contradiction in terms. I once asked a member of the fascist MHP in Turkey what he thought about German skinheads attacking Turks living in their country. He said that they were right to do this! Strange answer, but the only logically consistent one.
PS - I found the above link to the lyrics of Eric Bogle's song by going to Google, entering "Eric Bogle" and "wogs" and found it as a first hit. One can easily use Google to track down any information one wishes to find. It is easy to quote from sites you have never visited before, and they certainly do not have to be in your favourites list.
