Κάποιος που είχε πια στερέψει από ιδέες για δώρα σε εορτάζοντες , χάρισε στην πεθερά του , ένα μεγάλο τάφο στο καλύτερο νεκροταφείο της πόλης , για τα γενέθλιά της .
Δεν ξέρουμε βέβαια τι είπε σχετικά η πεθερά αλλά ξέρουμε ότι τον επόμενο χρόνο ο γαμπρός της δεν της πήρε τίποτα .
Όπως θα περιμένατε , η γηραιά κυρία γκρίνιαξε λέγοντας ότι ήταν μεγάλη αγένεια εκ μέρους του να μην της κάνει ένα δώρο στα γενέθλιά της .
Κι αυτός της απάντησε :
" Mα αφού ακόμα δε χρησιμοποιήσατε αυτό που σας πήρα πέρυσι ! ... "

Presents for the Mother-in-Law

Someone who had ran out of ideas for gifts for celebrations, gave his Mother-in-Law a large grave in the best cemetery of the city, for her birthday. We do not know of course what the Mother-in-law said, but the next time her Son-in-Law did not give her a present.

As you would expect, the old lady was annoyed saying that it was very rude of him not to present her with a gift on her birthday. And he answered her: "But after all, you still have not used what I gave you last year! "

I suppose I should have scrolled down a bit further before I struggled to read the Greek version!
