A help team of 18, formed by the TRNC National Defence Organization, the Ministry of Health and the Deputy Prime Ministry-Foreign Ministry has left the Republic to provide aid for the earthquake victims in Kyrgyzstan.
The strong earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.6, occurred late on Sunday and left 72 people dead.
The TRNC aid package includes 125 tents, 355 blankets, and some medical and food stocks.
The aid comes amid the decision of the Council of Ministers.
Making a statement on the issue, the Head of the National Defence Organization Omer Faruk Bozdemir stressed that the TRNC National Defence Organization is always ready to provide support and aid anywhere in the world with all its opportunities in case of a disaster, without considering any discrimination.
