URGENT MEDICAL ADVICE NEEDED FOR OUR SON

Can anyone in the medical profession advise us on a cut or possible bite to our son’s finger.

It came apparent 2 days ago after nursery school and tonight at 11.00hrs is as in the picture below.

ANY ADVICE PLEASE…

I’m an ex army medic but this started off looking like a small paper cut 2 days ago, how Louis got we don’t know. It could have been at school or it could have happened in the garden at home?

We have been keeping it clean and applying sterile creams to the cut, also keeping it open so to dry out. Strangely there is NO puss or redness only tonight the white RING!

We don’t have a local doctor, so AM we will take him to the chemist 1st and take their advice.

@ Oracle.
Behind each alias (computer) in the forum fun you mention there sits a mature professional adult that may well be a dermatologist or other relevant expert so CV did good to take the snap and ask. It doesn’t look life threatening anyway.

The little one could’ve scraped the finger on a rusty bur on the swings etc…He’ll probably get it dressed and a tetanus shot at emergency…
