It looks like a burn blister to me - but I am no expert!
I hope you got Louis to the hospital for professional treatment CV and that he is okay today.

Just back from the doc’s and it is a burst blister that has been infected.
We have cream and bandage for it.
We have to take Louis back on Monday if it hasn’t healed.
Louis thinks it great as he didn’t go to nursery today!!!
MANY THANKS FOR YOUR KIND WORDS AND ADVICE.

Hope Louis is ok

Can anyone in the medical profession advise us on a cut or possible bite to our son’s finger.
It came apparent 2 days ago after nursery school and tonight at 11.00hrs is as in the picture below.
ANY ADVICE PLEASE…

I can’t believe anybody could be so stupid as to take the photo, upload it to the site and seek advice from all and sundry on the board instead of just taking the child to a medical centre…
Even a medical professional couldn’t make a thorough diagnosis from a photo – that’s why they have hospitals and medical centres instead of people just sitting at computers waiting for patients to send pictures of their ailments…
Lastly CV, you have a foul mouth – shame on you talking to a lady in that way.
Ditto from me on Grumps above comments

“Septicemia can begin with spiking fevers, chills, rapid breathing, and rapid heart rate. The person looks very ill.”

It was pretty clear from the picture that it was a former blister and no other symptoms mentioned. Typical Cypriot panic manics!
Prevention
Appropriate treatment of localized infections can prevent septicemia.
