NEW DRAFT LAW FOR FOREIGNERS in TRNC

Postby halil » Thu Oct 09, 2008 12:55 pm

DRAFT LAW ON OWNING AND LONG-TERM LEASING OF IMMOVEABLE PROPERTY IN THE TRNC IS OPEN FOR DEBATE

The Committee on Law and Political Affairs of the Republic’s Assembly has started debating the draft law on ‘Owning and Long-term Leasing of the Immoveable Property’- which will be binding for foreigners if passed.

The Committee started the debate under the leadership of the Committee President- the Republican Turkish Party MP Kadri Fellahoglu at yesterday’s session.

The draft law foresees a series of arrangements for foreigners in owning and leasing property in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

It aims to provide more appropriate rules for foreigners under today’s conditions in buying immoveable property in the TRNC.

The draft law on ‘Owning and Long-term Leasing of the Immoveable Property’ also allows foreigners to own property through long-term leasing.

Leasing something that does not belong to you legally, is just as wrong as selling it!

This is just another crime and perhaps even worse, since it is an attempt to fool anyone now concerned about buying .

BTW halil would you kindly provide a link or source to your information ...

Thank you :D

I seem to remember that in 2004 there was an attempt to pass a law in the TRNC which basically said to foreign "buyers" of Greek Cypriot property, "Sorry, but the property which you thought you had bought freehold is actually only being leased to you on a long-term basis by the state." It looks like they are trying to bring in a similar measure once again.

Law will not only for GC's properties , it will cover the TC's properties too .

for foreigners to get property needs permission from council of ministers.

Council of ministes!!!!Law !!!!!
I can myself issue a law regarding property in USA.

It will have the same value with the law/ministers you quote in any international body.

Some thousands of people playing a game in North Cyprus. They are thinking and acting like they have a real state.!!!They name someone president, some others ministers and some others..stupids.

On same basis i declare myself as president of the Republic of Mars.Same value, same game.

WEALTH WARNING

BUYING PROPERTY IN THE OCCUPIED NORTH

Anyone purchasing immovable property on post 1974 kochans/deeds issued by the illegal 'trnc" regime and belonging to refugees who fled from the Turkish Army will lose the property and have to pay compensation to legal owners.

Do not be fooled by any claims made by the Occupation Regime.

Question to Halil (just checking).

If myself issue tonight a law, as president of the "Greek Republic of Cyprus" authorising all foreigners to buy land in North. Whos law will be considered as valid by international legal bodies. Mine or Talat's one?

I feel i have more chances to win since , at least, i own a piece of land there.
