Lets not forget without us Cyprus would be a poorer place to live the Brits bring so much to the island through tourism and new settlers, so come on now lets have no more of the bitter and twisted jibes. And you know deep down that you really love us.

What specifically do you consider as unfair Brit-bashing?

I think on the whole, the forum is well represented by Cypriot bashers and Brit-equalisers ...

Rather plebeian to moan without evidence ...

While I agree with the majority of what you say Psycho, I will come to the defence of a few ex pat pensioners. The one's who have managed to fit in with the Cypriot way of life and love Cyprus and Cypriots. They have visited Cyprus for forty years learnt the language and now find it difficult to manage.
There retirement was based on their pensions and what savings they could put away, now they find they are struggling to pay rent and ajust to the price increases that have hit them.I know many that are in this situation maybe through lack of forward planning or maybe through just getting older and finding they are not on the ball as they once were.

What they don't realise is the price increases are just as bad in the UK.
What pisses me off is the way they slag off the Cyprus way of life as though it's all the Cypriots fault. - I still stick by what I said, they should phuck off back to the UK and see if life under a labour government is any better :!:

See I never go to Paphos so I rarely here moaning from ex pats. Limassol tends to be a bit different no real ex pat clubs, apart from the British Legion. the ex pats that live there have genrally intergrated into Cypriot society.
Any way it's drying up now, the genral moaners are on there way back to the UK, there is just the small matter of those who bought property cannot sell it.As for general moaning, Cypriots moan as well especially where price rises are concerned, I believe at the moment people all over Europe are feeling the pinch, and a good moan helps.

Whereever one goes, there are changes. London has changed for the worse. I doubt if there are any unchanged places on this earth. (even the poles). To expect Cyprus not to change is mere stupidity. Just adapt and learn to live with it. Many do so why dont the 'whingers' do likewise.

Are you sure all the moaners have gone back to the UK? I'm sure they've all come over to the East side of the island.
You're right about the other Europeans, they like a good moan about price rises.

While there I came across British pensioners complaining about the cost of living and how it was so much better in 19 umpteen in the UK and how they don't like Cypriot food, if they don't like it in Cyprus then why don't they phuck off back to the UK :x

The whining Brits deserve a good bashing from anyone on this forum and if they don't like it they should use the Easterncyprus Forum where they talk about the ever increasing prices, central heating, baking cakes, the UK weather and swimming pools.

Brits moving to Cyprus should not expect it to be the same as the UK, they should respect the Cypriot culture and learn to live with it. :!:

Psycho, ALL pensioners are like this!
