Whats happening Lucky Jim.. I strongly disagree with you mate, Cyprus without the Brits would not of been a poorer Island at all, my ppl & I can say my ppl though I was bourne and bred here in the uk, were never poor!! I wish they were fewer brits in Cyprus actually.

How about Britain? who now lives in uk who are actually pure British (White) without ppl from other countries UK would be very very poor! I mean what is British these days? what do you eat when you go out or stay in? Fish and Chips? Beans on Toast? Nooo you go out or cook Indian or Chinese food. In the old days in uk, you hardly ever use to eat Chicken or know what a Watermelon was. England is a very poor country without other ppl from other countries bringing in and working. I dont think you should ever say without the British Cyprus would be poor.. Its obvious you do not know your history, I do not mean to insult any one but learn your own ppl and country before you try and chat crap about others..

Im not sure who said the comment "we hate the english cypriots more than the turks but I dnt really blame them any more. If I read that a year ago I would have been very angry but some of us do go over there treating them like cavemen and it hurts them too. I feel sorry for the young coz obviously there parents or grandparents tell there experiences about us and they all think we are evil.. We are not all stuck up and full of it, some of us accept ppl for who they are and respect & love there culture. I hope one day that bad complex can fade away and Im speaking for both of us.

That girl I was speaking about in another post, the one that came from Cyprus and now at my Uni? some prick said something hurtful to her the other day and it hurt me too, she took one look at me and see the shock, horror & hurt in me and was suprised that I felt that way, she thought I would join in with every one else but I just told every one to F OFF and leave us alone and I took her home with me and she met my crazy family and she felt so much better.. I don't, I still feel very depressed and disgusted!!

I know I have into this pretty late but Brits do have a bad name abroad. I am British and sometime embarrassed to admit that. We have a bad name of being lager louts, yob's, pie and chip munchers....I could go on.

We are not all like that but there are a large majority which are. I think in the next 10 years I name will improve abroad, you only have to look at football violence this had shifted to Italy and other Eastern European countries so we are improving!!
