Time to Terminate Talat .....

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Nikitas » Sat Oct 04, 2008 5:41 am

He might be doing a good job representing the TCs but this dodo is forgetting that parto of the solution HE wants will make him president of ALL Cypriots for some years. He is missing the chance to show he is a statesman and not just a politician.

I thank the EOKAfighters who freed Cyprus from British colonisation, cultural strangulation and exertion of power.

And then he will become a lost voice in the crowd of Greeks.......Nice plan!!! His refusal to surrender to force of any kind is statesman like enough for me..If you play fair then there will be a deal...It does not look like you have any intention of doing that....We are being offered nothing new or subsequent.....

Why is Talat considered to be the Leader of the TC community?

There are only about 70,000 TCs and nearly 200,000 Settlers and say 5,000 Brits in the occupied areas.

Was it only the TC community (probably 50,000 eligible to vote) which was polled during Talat's election as Leader of the TC community .... or did the Brits and Settlers vote also?

In which case he is not Leader of the TC community but Leader of the Settlers (majority).

It might explain why he was so upset that the Council of Europe ruled that the Settlers must leave.

TCs, it's time to elect a new spokesperson .....

Extracts form Cyprus Mail wrote:

Disappointment at Talat speech

TURKISH Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat’s address to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has sparked a disappointed reaction

Talat’s statements do not help this climate.

Talat listed a litany of grievances to PACE...

Turkish Cypriot leader was more interested in reiterating how his side had been wronged.

Mr Talat never misses the opportunity to repeat his well-known positions surrounding the Cyprus problem ...

Mr Talat usually chooses to remain in the past ...

could only be described as “completely negative”.

Talat attempted through reproaches and referring to the past, to justify unacceptable views regarding a resolution to the Cyprus problem
.

The Turkish Cypriot media yesterday had a completely different take on Talat’s statements in Strasburg, which some described as a “historical speech”.

I guess the TCs know it should be his last ...

Turkish Cypriot daily Afrika also criticised the fact that Talat “spoke in an empty conference hall”, while the Europeans who invited him lacked politeness and interest by not bothering to go and listen to his speech.

And the Europeans no longer care what he has to say!

Time to terminate Talat .... :D

Is time to terminate generaly Turks from Cyprus

From an arsehole what does one expect , farts and more farts !!!
Let the T/Cs know that the obnoxious views of this individual are not shared by the overwhelming majority of G/Cs , the reasonable and peace loving Cypriots who want to share this island with their compatriots as equal citizens with equal human and democratic rights .

"And then he will become a lost voice in the crowd of Greeks......."

So why is he endorsing the rotating presidency and all that stuff? Are you missing the point or what? He constantly addresses TCs or talks about the problems of TCs, he has never shown that his horizons extend beyond those narrow limits. How is that man to be expected to be competent when the rotating presidency makes him president of ALL Cypriots?

Now from that question how you went to him being lost etc, is one hell of a mystery.

What a load of Political Crap shooting.......!
Greece has only ever brought tears to Cyprus and in
particular Greek Cypriots. Its incredulous that Greek
Cypriots prefer to fly the Greek flag rather than fly the
flag they fought to bring about! Today its unbelieveable
to think Greek Cypriots still want a United Island - or at
least thats what they say in public!. Were unification be
on offer, would the Greek Cypriots be willing to throw
away their wealth? Of course not, to a man they are all
now too materialistic and now too crooked to even think
of paying for any unification.
I belief that the ONLY reason the Turkish North would
want any type of 'joining', for the simple reason that they
had 'run out of cash'!
I know what political claptrap the Greek Cypriots
teach in their schools - always the other mans fault
with the killers being Turk and/or British! I remember
a grandchild of ours telling us that the British had, in
those grand old Eoka days, boiled those caught in oil!
Well that was according to the teaching in the Cypriot
school he attended - and that was when he just six!
Never a mention of what makinland Greeks caused.
So, what if there were unification? The Greek Cypriots,
who could never forgive the Turk, would be urged on
(yet again) by Greeks - so it would start all over again.
But, no matter all the political clap trap, Greek
Cypriots may well soon be thinking of something other
than a united island, for no matter what the Finance
Minister says, the economy is already on the down
Tens of thousands of properties remain empty, unsold!
Ex-Pats, in particular the British, are departing for better
and cheaper climes, twenty or more per day leaving with
few arrivals! Prices hikes, loss on the Euro, filth dumped
by Cypriots on every corner, corruption and the loss of
everything akin to the real Cypriot lifestyle, thats why we
are leaving. As all our family know, property prices are
already falling....!
Come the Spanish syndrome.....concrete producers,
thousands of builders and developers went 'bust' in just
a few months. Soon will be the case here - so I believe.
And, who will get the blame, oh no, not the Cypriots
themselves!
How long before Cypriot banks begin to call in loans?
Gone will be the teenagers rampaging around in any
vehicle let alone a BMW or Mercedes! So, any thoughts
of unification will be forgotten, quite simply because now,
for the Greek Cypriots, money rules!
Sadly, after a five decade association with Cyprus,
bringing business here, working here and for many years
living here, I, like so many we know, now pack in readiness
for the departure of our extended family - twenty in total.
The past five years has seen the ruin of Cyprus, ruined
by no-one else than by the Cypriots themselves. No more
the Jewel in the Med, more the 'rubbish tip' of the world!
My own prediction? Political & financial corruption will,
ever more, rule this island.

Our "claptrap" is kindergarten material compared to that of the TCs...

You'll have to post a credible link to back that unless you're confusing things with what's happening in bankrupt "TRNC".

You'll have to post a credible link to back that figure, not that I see anything wrong with each person living in their OWN country.

Filth dumped having an effect on the CyProb? Interesting! :?

Oh right... it's a eulogy! Give our regards to the governors when you get there...

Bye-bye! ...and don't call us we'll call you.

Freddy, why don't you just come right out with it and admit that you're going through a difficult period in your life, for one reason or another, and are weighing your options, because the rest of us here are doing just fine thank you! :D

Why is it that every time a Brit goes bust here the whole country is to blame and we’re all supposedly sinking?
