Try Le Cambe France GR. No statues of German soldiers but a well maintained German (Nazi) WW2 cemetary where thousands of German soldiers are buried. Funnily enough a site of many a British and French school visit.

Excluding the indigenous Turkish population from the right to vote, equal human rights and status within Cyprus and forcing the Turkish population from their homes and land which was theirs by birthright is just as much a crime! Which Turkey responded to! And justly so! Excluding parts of your history and ignoring the facts of the past are why your arguments will never have any credibility!

People have died and relatives want a memorial to their loved ones. I don't therefore think it's terribly important whether these people who lost their lives were the enemy during the struggle for national self-determination.

So I don't have a problem with any such memorial giving as it will give a focus for the bereaved provided that in its design and wording it was respectful of the feelings of the host nation.

Cys, of all peoples given CY's tragic history, should be sympathetic to others who wish to remember their late loved ones.
