No it has not taken the Brits to do anything the Cypriots would not do for themselves.

We have always had pets, and we have always treated them well ... but there will always be a few people who do not, and that is the same everywhere. And that is what we have to address globally!

These few "do-gooder" colonial minded Brits just want praise at every turn of the page and an opportunity to bash Cyprus - just like YOU! ... and they are doing more harm to the attempts to gain extra help for the animals than any good.

It is not about them getting medals and accolades ... it is about people rising above the poverty level, worrying less about the danger from the Turkish invaders and being allowed to build their country so that priorities are well established.

And then there are people who see things as they are.......Poisoned dogs and no real policy of controlling or stopping the proliferation of strays.....The majority have no idea of animal husbandry....That is a fact......If it takes the Brits to show people this then more power to their elbow....You should just say thank you for bringing you to the 21st century....
