On the island of Aegina in Greece someone (or more than one person), released foxes in an island environment that had no foxes. Unfortunately these foxes hunt and their preferred prey is domestic livestock and ground nesting birds. The damage is inestimable. From this story I learned something, that a fox can kill a full grown domestic pig. Also learned that education and good intentions is no bar to stupidity.
