The report prepared by the PACE Rapporteur on Cyprus Joachim Hörster and a related resolution was approved at the General Assembly.

According to the adopted resolution, the Greek Cypriots have been asked not to create obstacles in international cultural, educational and sportive activities and student exchange programs of the Turkish Cypriots.

The report also calls on the Greek Cypriot Side to remove all obstacles blocking Turkish Cypriots' direct trade with EU member states in line with the Direct Trade Regulations.

Referring to the new negotiations process in Cyprus, the report said that the opportunity for a solution in Cyprus should not be missed.

In another development, all motions made by Turkish parliamentarians concerning the establishment of a partnership state based on the political equality of the two peoples in Cyprus were rejected.

if it is correct i will support this. As much as Turks of North became, so better solution we can find in Cyprus case.As much shelters of 1578 and 1974 they feel so better for the understanding of basic rules of a solution.

The Assembly takes note of, and welcomes, the efforts made by the European Union and by the
Republic of Cyprus aimed at improving the situation of Turkish Cypriots. However, more needs to be done in
order to facilitate Turkish Cypriots’ integration into Cyprus and Europe. The Assembly therefore calls for new
goodwill steps to be taken to allow increased international trade, educational, cultural and sporting contacts
of the Turkish Cypriot community, it being understood that these activities must not be misused to attain
political purposes incompatible with the aim of reunifying the island

We should make NO compromises or give anything UNTIL an agreement has been made.

Why Don't the Turks make the first goodwill move by removing the mountain flag first? Why is it that they expect the GC to be making all the concessions first?

Because they are still thieving low down criminal scum and they are only interested in taking taking taking.

It makes me so mad that it is always the GC side that has to be bending over. We get invaded, raped, murdered, ethnically cleansed from our home, kept out for 34 years and STILL WE have to be the nice guys.

Let Turkey recognise the RoC first, let turkey open its ports to Cypriot registered ships, let turkey remove at least half their troops from this island, then you can safely say they have made some goodwill moves.

Otherwise, no sir, no deal, you wait a solution BEFORE you get anything else.
