How the bloody hell did you break one of them?

I have had the same one in my pocket for the last 3 years and no problems with it.

Dont ask me...I dont know how I did that (several times) but I did.

The last one I had...it was one of them that is waterproof and has a plastic surface like a rubber ... with the idea that it wont break...guess what...it did...that part that goes in the computer tottally came out. That one though it was the only one that lasted more than a year. I said that I dont get along with technology easily.

The culprit may be your bed Lena. The same thing happened to me too.

If you sit your laptop on your bed and not on a hard surface you may end up putting all the weight of the laptop on the USB device depending on how you position it. Thats what usually causes the USBs to break. Same thing happened to my wireless router on my old laptop.

To be honest i dont think is that...because I take the laptop to bed only to watch a film or play a game...which I dont need the usb...and when i watch films the pc its usually on my desk since I believe that its not good for the pc to sit on the bed...something to do with the fan if I am not wrong...right Get Real?

While GR is snoozing, yes you are correct.

But you still have to be aware of blocking all the vents when a laptop is on a soft base; like your bed a cushion or your lap. (over heat etc).

The question is who is paying for all the laptop replacements and repairs so far?

Welcome back Get Real....well mum is paying for that...since I couldnt pay it myself (loan, bills, expenses...I do not earn thousands...yet )....after all she insisted on fixing them...since she plays games on them.

Mine too Lena! My mum is addicted to the crappy games on my laptop. She plays them constantly and sometimes I have to remind her that I've been waiting for like AN HOUR for her supposed "1 game" to finish!

And I've lost really important files too, namely photos, but ones I could never get back, so I know how you feel.

Tell me about...I remind her that I have been waiting for like 3 hours for a responce from her or to notice that I was talking to her....and guess what...anything I say to her during that time...I need to repeaat myself after she finish her games. Oh well its the only time that she can rest. And after all she is my mum...what can I do .

Now you know what us mothers have to go through!
