You can place a saddle on a donkey ("RoC") but it doesnt make it a race horse (EU).

In other words, you can put lipstick on a Pig,but it is still a Pig....

Now where did I hear that??? :)

Hi Bir...Did you read that bit I posted about the GCs moving massive amounts of troops to the border when they thought that Iran might attack Turkey a few years back????? Do you really believe that the Turkish army is not needed???Lets have some real facts here and stop all the sarcasm....

Zan, why do you think the GCs were moving 'massive amounts of troops' to the borders?

I do hope you are not going to tell me it was to keep the nasty Turks out Kafenes???

If I were a Greek heres what I would have done. We have been trying to get a whole lot of people to attack Turkey for a long time now. Iran is as good as any so when they threaten to attack I would move massive amounts of troops to the border to cover several opportunities...The first is to stop Turkey moving any troops off the island so that it loses 40,000 thousand soldiers from the Iranian front. She certainly cannot afford to bring any more soldiers. I would cover the moment she needs to move soldiers back to protect the mainland and then start to antagonise to try and force her to open another front. If Turkey should fall then hey! Time to start full on attacks on the TCs and take the entire island.

I was just being a bit flippant,Zan...It wasnt sarcastic...But seriously,I don't think we need 40,000 Turkish troops in the North,no...They can easily reduced it by half, encourage some settlers to leave, and show some goodwill towards the GC side...Despite all the warmongering by some on this Forum I seriously doubt the National
Guard will ever attack the trnc...Everyone knows that it would be a disaster for everyone concerned...Christofias is a sane man... 8)

Bir.....See my post to Kafenes above......There is danger from a whole lot of other areas that you are not taking into account. There are many other fronts that the "RoC" is fighting this thing on and I am sorry but if you think that these things are not going on then................We are screwed.

I don't understand how someone would go on a holiday at a destination under foreign occupation. I just really don't get it.

If you disagree with my theory, then please argue it in a civilised manner. Do not throw personal insults at me and leave my mother out of this. Please also keep it in English or give a translation of what you have written.

Is Miltiades next to you while you writing this Kafenes??

I hope you believe me when I tell you that the TCs have never been stronger in being able to tell the world what it is that they want and how they have been ignored for so long......There is not ever going to be a surrender to the stolen "RoC" Kafenes.....Those that did not know what they lost do now.....Some still have some learning to do. This has got nothing to do with nationalism or Denktas or any other negative spin you care to put on it....We just want our rights back and will not be sidelined in our own country..You have no right to ask us to do that.....No right what so ever....
