Richard B ....... am not having a go at the average Brit. However, your political representatives and colonialists have fucked about a lot of people and they continue to do so with their policies. The Blair bitch shoud had never got involved with the Ormas. The consequences for a lot of people could be destroying because of her actions and she is a woman with no integrity. As a wife of a Prime minister she should had bailed out on that one, she took a political stand.

I also cannot stand those Brits who come to Cyprus for the sun and are absolutely disinterested in the violation of human rights.

Is there any more I can say on this issue?

There is one more thing to say your revered queen od State ordered the death by hanging of Cypriots fighting for their freedom during the EOKA years. A visit to the museum might educate our dearest bubbles.

and given that bubbles is so generous why doiesn't she offer the aristidis family her home in England if she thinks that it is fair for the Orams to take their property.

Absolutely Humanist and we the Brits have also been fu*ked by successive governments .

Isn't greed (individual and collective) the main drive that makes countries great?

That would be ambition.

Greed is usually punished / ostracised in higher species with social habits.

Oracle,

Is is possible to prove that something simple, like the desire to have car, makes the difference between an advanced country and a third world one. The desire to have a car and its final acquisition channel resources through the economy and lead to advances in other unforeseen and unplanned for areas, ie science foundation financing. Is wanting a car an ambition or the result of materialist greed? I would place it under the heading of greed.

Would Cyprus be better off today if we had masters of greed at the helm, lets say fifty clones of Onassis rather than a bunch of winbags?

Was Onassis greedy or enterprising?

Mere greed does not lead to success (for long).
