Hi, can anyone tell me the maximum cash amount allowed to be carried into cyprus, heard it used to be 7,300 cyprus pounds? thanks.

Welcome wealthy new member Sunshineblonde.

Some years ago it used to be 10,000 CY. I think it is still 10,000CY/Euro equivalent but do bear in mind that you are asked to declare amounts above that and presumably to give an account and evidence of a legitimate origin.

Bear in mind that there is also a limit in taking cash out of GB without a similar declaration. I think the sum there is £6000 sterling per person and presumably per trip. Anything above this and you may be asked to give an account/evidence of where it came from.

These have become anti-money laundering measures.
