Still pouring down here - poor little kitty got soaked whilst out on the balcony. She is now trying to hide under me as she does not appear to like the noise! :(

My old Citroen Saxo with its rear window semi-open serves exactly this purpose: shelter for kittens running away from the rain.

Glad to hear that you are doing your 'bit'!

It never rains but pours. All roads going south had turned into brown rivers and bringing stones and rocks with them, the highway across Limassol was waterlogged in several places. I bet a lot of basements were flooded, because all I could hear were fire engines going up and down the highway.

Now if you all had rainwater harvesting systems in your houses you would have collected enough water for the summer, and you will not be moaning come May.

I know, you did not, and will moan.

I know what you mean. I was in the centre of Limassol during the downpour, and for a while the streets turned into mini rivers. To see all this water just flowing away and going to waste was quite sickening, especially after having spent months bending over backwards to conserve the precious stuff.
