It was night time and an old man was driving his truck through the winding roads in the countryside. His eyes focused on the road as he hummed himself a tune. All of a sudden the trucks headlights picked up a girl walking at the side of the road. The old man slowed down and asked the girl if she wanted a lift. He was curious to why she was in the middle of no where and walking bare footed along the asphalt road. The girl who was apparently dressed in white didn't say much, but welcomed the lift. She lived in the next village along and the old man didn't badger her with conversation. However he did notice that she was shivering and he offered her his jacket to keep her warm. She thanked him and as they arrived in the village he dropped off her of at her alleged house. He thought nothing of it and drove off in to the darkness once more.
The old man then remembered that he had lent the girl his jacket and a day or so later returned to the village in his truck. He was able to identify the house that he dropped the girl off and knocked on the door. A man appeared and asked him what he wanted. The old man said that he'd dropped a girl here a couple of nights ago and lent her his jacket and he'd come for it. The man at the door looked surprised and bewildered. The old man assumed that it was the man's daughter that he'd dropped off. However the man looked at the old gentleman and asked him to repeat what he'd just said. The man at the house was shocked even further as he replied that he'd had a daughter once, but she had died recently. There was confusion all around and the man showed the old man a photo of his deceased daughter. It was her and in the photo she was wearing the same white dress that the old man had picked her up in.
The man in the house asked to be taken to the nearby graveyard to prove to the old man that this was no joke and that his daugther had died. When they got to the actual grave, they both found the old man's jacket on top it. No one could account for the strange going's on.
Anyone have similar stories about strange going on in Cyprus regarding ghosts, the supernatural or UFO's if you please.
