Does anyone know of any good websites that give tutotials on converting black and white photos into colour?

I've found a few but the results aren't impressive at all. I want it to look real and natural, not like a tacky retro poster.

I'm new with photoshop but I'm sure I'd be able to pick it up easily so the more complex the better.

Anyone know?

As long as you're good on computeres it's quite simple if you watch the tutorials.

I just need to learn how to apply shadows and textures because the colours look so 1 dimentional. :?

You can add several Hue Saturation adjustment layers with the colorize option turned on and a mask to limit their effect to the areas that you want.
