Sorry, I hae to agree with Bananiot and Cyprusgrump. Excellent imported wines are available now much cheaper than the decent local ones.

I am all for buying local produce (give me KEO beer and local pork anytime). but for certain items imported is better (wine, beef, lamb).

The carrots are OK too.

I personally prefer a good South African wine, but the author requested a Cypriot wine!

Cucumber taste better here and they do not 'repeat' on me as much here either! Strange but true!

most of the usual comments are from people who drink beer with lime, accompanied by a pack of smokey Bacon crispes (i.e. Cypruscrump & Bananiot)

All the following are under Euro 10's

- Tsiakkas Cabernet Sauvignon & Tsiakkas Chardonnay
- Etko Salera Red & Salera White
- Etko Cabernet Sauvignon Rose

enjoy!!!

Do they sell Smokey Bacon Crisps in Cyprus? :?

I don't know... I only ever eat plain or cheese and onion...

There could be an 'opening' for some young or old enterprising person here.

[quote="rotate"]Sorry but for less the 10 Euro you aint gonna get quality, but quantity yes
There are good quality Cypriot red wines available, these are not cheap

Sorry but disagree with the €10 and quality. Wines of the World have some excellent wines from Italy Chile, S. Africa, Australia etc for under the €10

Good Cypriot wine apart from the Cyp. standard wine is Agios Anoufrios from the Vassilkon winery at Kathikas

I'd try Ambelida, pleasant organic light sauvignon.
