There was once a Turk, a TC and a GC

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

He would have ran a mile screaming, "the Turks are coming" more likely.

Deniz, except the old Larnaca road did you see those caravans anywhere else? I remember seeing a caravan north north east of Nicosia, could be around Lefkoniko.

Ofcourse, on the road to Famagusta too. But to get to Kivisili and Anglissidhes we travelled to Larnaca often. We always looked forward to see them.

But my uncle would always talk about the beauty of the Eucalyptus trees along the side of the road (Larnaca Nicosia) These were planted in the days of horse driven cabriolets and later on slow speed fords and other primitive motor transport. The shade provided in the summer was most welcome. Later as road speeds increased the dead trees were not replaced as they were deemed to be killers - after collisions. Nowyou have the motorways - another killer.

The mountain range in the background looks like the Pentadaktylos, so they could be on the way to Lefkonuk - towards Famagusta

Deniz, I thought anyone with a turkish passport still cannot come int Cyprus because the country of origin being Turkey is occupying our land.

And because the "RoC" is occupying the other part the UN thought it best to suspend that rule in the TRNC....Fair is fair after all...

Humanist, I can not answer that.

I only mentioned the Pontians as so much is mentioned about them in the RoC. How do they normally arrive? Through Greece?

...indeed there were camel caravans. when i was young there was the tradition of walking under a standing camel to assure good health. a little scary sometimes, they spit and bite.
