Paphitis do come back !

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Paphitis wrote:I thank everyone for their comments, but I have made a decision to leave, as I have now exhausted every possible avenue on CF. I have found the answers I was looking for. I am unfortunately a time poor person and now need to concentrate on other things.

As for that poll, it was never my intention to force Miltiades to leave CF, but took his challenge to test his word and integrity. I do not want him to feel guilty. It is apparent that CF is more important to him than it is for me.

My patriotism for Cyprus is what had led me to join CF. But I find that even this is at risk, not from the Turks but from our very own. I have certainly experienced and witnessed many things which I consider a betrayal against those that either dedicated their whole life (Makarios) or sacrificed life itself (Pallikaridi, Avxentiou and co), so that we can enjoy freedom and a better life. I prefer to keep my idealistic views intact as well as my integrity and hence my departure. Cyprus must be the only nation in the world where many of it's citizens disrespect such ideals which basically makes a mockery on the whole nation's foundations. The mere fact that some even belittle the very Republic itself, is a disgrace and IMHO is treasonous to the country all because these individuals do not have any national pride, honor or self esteem. But then one of these individuals even reconciles this treason by stating that in life we much seek the best option and not for the unreachable or unrealistic. Justice and Human Rights are not an option, nor a privilege but are a fundamental right for all mankind. And any option that depreciates these basic fundamentals must be rejected outright.

Although I have never met anyone, I hold the relationships I have developed here as very dear to me. Particularly with an individual, who shall remain nameless. This relationship has endured many ups and an unfortunate down. I am grateful that this relationship is still intact despite my own stupidity.

I will still follow many debates and subjects so I will still be around. Please, do not make any song or dance over my absence as this just makes me feel very guilty. I may even return one day, if I have anything worthwhile to add, or have the time. In the mean time I wish you all the best and may we all soon be celebrating a unified and free Cyprus, with human rights and democratic equality for all.

I just thought it was fair to post my photo as everyone else seems to have theirs on CF. Now you can put a face to the name! :) Unfortunately, no one can vouch for it's authenticity.

Human rights, as you put it Bafitis, is not the all encompassing rule that allows a majority to totally disregard a large minority. What you need to do now, on your road to enlightenment, is to understand the meaning of that one particular human right. You are confused because of personal involvement. Try now to understand what it means to be another entity at risk of being over run and made redundant. Look down from that bridge yo are standing on and look at the detail...Try to see patterns in those tiny figures below. Each is an individual yes, but they also belong to groups and those belong to bigger groups that each have a life.......All must be respected.

The poll does NOT condemn the loser to abandon the forum itself but the CyProb section, and given you have won the election you now have the right to ask Miltiades to honor his side of the bargain!

The Ombudsman has spoken… 8)

Paphitis.

Been a pleasure. Respect your choice.

Sure you'll find other ways to help continue the national struggle to rid the old country of the Turkish Occupation.

Look forward to buying you a beer in a Free Kyrenia in the near future.

Good riddens to bad rubbish, your youth and brainwashed opinions are not welcomed on the CF, thats probably why you could no longer stand dealing with the truths which have been kept form you during your GC education. The real issue is that you are the future of Cyprus and allowing for your narrow vision union doesnt stand a chance you are just a new version of the same old GC mentality. The only way you can help Cyprus is to live and die far away from in a land where your are the bloody foreigner.

All is great in the north we have Bayram right now and are enjoying visiting our family and friends spending time with them. Paphitis is so pompous and bloody arrogant with his racist and one sided views, good riddens he provides nothing beneficial to either side and more a hinderence than anything else. Lets hope he never returns to this island.

political war is our best weapon not only for G/Cs but also for the average T/C who considers this island as his country and not necessarily the part of Cyprus that is under foreign occupation.

Where are they? I can only think of My friend who lives in the occupied areas and haes it, but he always lived in his village in the northern part of my occupied country. Birkibrisli would be the other and Kikapou, where's the rest of them. and anyone who wants their own little portion of Cyprus at the exclussion of other isn't a true cypriot and am not buying their hypocritism.
