I would have tacked this on to the end of another thread, but it has been locked.

Having just wandered through a couple of threads on a forum (some number or other) that was talked about a few days ago on here, I am happy to say how wonderful it is that we have such a diversity of views on CF.

We have the full spectrum of opinions (extremists to moderates) and intelligence (from genius to imbecile). This is very unlike the place I visited where it appears that if you don't have extremist views and are an imbecile, you are hounded off.

I think the community we have consisting of TCs, GCs, overseas Cs, all varieties of ex-pats (here or not) and probably even a few extra-terrestrials, provides an excellent debating society.

Debates here are never one-sided.

I will admit to having learned a lot about the past of Cyprus on this forum even though I have lived here as part of a GC family for over 30 years and have read many books and publications about the history of the island.

If I could be arsed I would suggest to the members of the other forum that they come and join us in our discussions and not just cut and paste bits of our posts totally out of context on their site.

Right, now that I have got that off my chest, you are all welcome to chastise me, lock the thread, or delete it.

I would warn them from the start CBBB..Any GC that does not have the same view as the Main antagonist GCs here are hounded off in minutes.....

Are you saying that the GC point of view here is one-sided?

It doesn't look like that to me. The site, which I didn't name only, appears to have the views of the hard-liners, none of the moderate TC views that some TCs post here. That doesn't quite seem to be a way of discussing any subject.

And this site is the same but with GCs.....The three years I have been here...Only Bananiot has survived.
