Reiring to Cyprus soon!

Postby tonyo » Thu Sep 25, 2008 10:10 am

Have been to Cyprus many times over the last 30 years , love the place and decided on retiring to settle down in Pafos.
I know there is a large ex pat community in Pafos
I have been following the various debates on the forum , more so the last Poll on constructive approach to the Cyprus problem . Both candidates appear on balance to want a peaceful resolution to the Cyprus problem.
Like Mildades im also a grand dad and can easily see where he is coming from. The chap's honest enough on the issues at hand , don't agree with all he posts on matters regarding the terrorist issues and USA but we cant all agree on everything.
His views on all Cypriots being Cypriots are , in my humble opinion valid.

Do you want to know if you should bring your car or how much it costs to live here?

..and what's the weather is like and where you can get Greek lessons and buy pasties?....

Seriously Tony, welcome, the Island of Love (well, not in my case LOL!) is a great place to be and with the right mental adjustment you wll never regret coming to this wonderful place.

You will have found that newcomers to the Forum get a little gentle teasing; it helps prepare them for life time membership here! If you can disregard the crazies, mentalists, Imperialists and revolutionaries on the Forum, you will have a good time here - although you might be a touch lonely!

Oh I don't mind the voting Lana...its the complete lack of imagination when choosing nick's that I mind. I feel a little cheated that more of an effort was not made.
