Workers on strike at the illegal Tymbou airport were beaten

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

TURKEY-

Massacre of 1.5 million Armenians in 1915. Sounds like a holocaust to me.
Massacre of 300000 Greeks in 1921.
Continued torture and massacre of Kurds even till today. It does not surprise me that Turkey will never join the European Union as it does not know how to behave as a European nation.
Not to mention it's constant violations of human rights and continued illegal occupation of the Republic of Cyprus.

Mr Eoka

I assume you are a Cypriot of the Orthodox faith.

I would like to point out to that the Ottomans gave back your faith to you (1570's) when they took Cyprus from the Venetians and that they rewarded the Orthodox Armenian Church with a church in Nicosia AND a monastery on the North Coast of Cyprus For the help that the Armenians gave to them when conquering this island

Mr Eoka

I would also like to point out that in 1993 The Jews of Turkey celebrated 500 years of religious freedom.

They had been expelled by the Spanish in 1493 during the Spanish Inquisition ( Another European contribution to mankind Mr Gabaston? ).

To be honest, I hope Turkey doesn’t join the Eu. After thirty years of membership Britons are still scratching their heads and asking “Why”.

Turkey has progressed beyond recognition, (please only comment if you have visited recently), through its own hard endeavors

Why Turkey wants to join is beyond me.

However Turkey will join, when the Eu wants to get its hands on Turkish labour and produce in order to support its own economies, and not out of some historic niceties test which most Eu countries would dismally fail anyway.

Well said Gabaston, and what you say was actually said by a senior politician in the papers today.
