Ermmm. yes. Who on earth picked the candidates. It feels like being Shang hai'd. Nobody ask, Twice I objected, yet you (both of you) 'dictated' that the compiled list stays. So this is democracy GC style.

A Turkish Cypriot is ahead by 4 votes and yet he is complaining that Greek Cypriots have rigged the election! :?

He is what I would call a complete nut and I feel sorry for the 15 people who foolishly voted for him...

Do you want out Deniz? Just say so one more time.

Even allowing for miltiades you have no prooof that GCs voted for deniz.

Explain why it matters WHO voted for him! I'm trying to get your drift... :?

To prove exactly how GCs and TCs voted and how this reflects in the real world, where I persoanlly believe both sides would vote along ethnic lines and that the great GC majority would use this to vote in a GC monkey rather than vote for a TC who was right for the job.

Why would Deniz want out?

Have a look over this thread ... he has not been able to stay away.

He has adopted such a high profile ... Obama and McCain are put to shame for not really trying.....

The little hypocrite. I said I did not want to be part of this, so stayed away (apart from one post I think because Deniz has been accusing me of avoiding him).

Having made my stand ... I just viewed it as another interesting thread.

It is now a classic. Revelations in the minds and motives of the posters, enough to write a Psychology dissertation.

How about Deniz tells us how many PMs he has received from Zan poisoning his mind since this election started… because we’ve witnessed an otherwise logical person who went from making a good contribution towards this whole thing to making the most ridiculous accusations I’ve ever heard!

Hi VP. I'm a Brit of 100% CY ancestry, with roots in two villages of the Occupied North and married to a CY lady of similar descent, so I would understand it if you might accuse me of being very sympathetic to the RoC cause in matters outside this election because you would be right.

Honestly VP, leaving aside community allegiances for once, I felt D was the right person for the job (as did many others), I didn't much care whether he/she was gc, tc, settler, mainland turk etc etc so after some soul-searching I voted for the candidate and not some ethnic group. This happens in democracies where voters look beyond someone's colour, ethnicity, sex etc.

(I understand D doesn't want the job anyway and I must respect his personal choice)

Oracle my dear. I have showed a great interest in this farce. From the beginningI let it be known that I was not interested. Those two insisted on keeping the list they had already compiled. A sad lot they are.

Perhaps GR wanted to get back at ADMIN for his 'suspension' from the forum and decided beforehand to use me as a tool for his 'REBELION' against ADMIN.

Only he knows what his motives are to want me on the list. If I am a complete nut, why put me on this list. If he is not a nutter himself, what were his motives?

To all the conspiracy theorists et al.

1. Oracle has no other accounts, as Admin confirmed a while back, and can do so again, if he is not sick of the sight of the whole lot of us by now!

2. I have not used my one and only vote yet. I stated at the outset I would vote for the most logical and intelligent posters who still pretty much remain as Piratis, Kifeas and Kikapu (wisely mostly stayed away from this thread).

3. I too would have no hesitation in voting for a TC if I thought he/she was right for the job.
Why does that practice only seem strange to the TCs?
( Good lesson for us. )

4. The biggest hypocrite (apart from Deniz) has been Miltiades who voted for a Gentleman  .... Typical sexist bigot.

5. Zan cannot relax and enjoy, because he feels cheated so he will use his over-ripe imagination to find a plot to justify his pain.

6. We do not know how many TCs, GCs and Brits there are on the forum.

But I have long suspected from comments; that the GCs are outnumbered by the combination of Turk-TCs and Brits from the "trnc" and a few other Brits that are pro-TC. A microcosm of the real world perhaps and why we have a Cyprus Problem.

6. I truly believe DT. and GR! were entertaining us and stimulating a thinking exercise in the true spirit of the forum.

For that we should all thank them :D

As far as I’m concerned Deniz has requested departure from this election enough times so his wish is hereby granted.

Needless to say that we thank Deniz for his time and input and remind that there's no need for his decision to turn into another needless melodrama on the forum.

The election continues with the second placed candidate attaining the presidency and so forth.

So let it be done.
