Btw, what we included at the start of the thread was the rough PREAMBLE of the President’s duties so certain candidates MAY wish to get in touch with us for the official updated and complete version… isn’t that right DT?

I believe the correct procedure with this is that apart from assigning a security squad on both frontrunners, they'll have to come in to HQ for a debriefing on the duties.

Since Deniz is in a different country we're gonna have to do this remotely.

If everyone does as they're told then everything will run smoothly.

So Deniz is in the lead... in a poll on a forum where the majority are GC's. What does that tell you?

Could it possibly mean that in a future reunited Cyprus the Cypriot people could vote for a TC President providing he's a likable chap with a political agenda people think is good for Cyprus and Cypriots?

The question above is more or less for Zan, VP et al who obviously think such a scenario is highly unlikely.

I'm telling you it's quite possible. Not tomorrow. Not next year. But in a not so distant future. In a future where political parties are made up of people with similar political views and ideas no matter what ethnic backgrounds they have. A motley bunch of people with a common denominator. That's true democracy.

This 'vote for the 'president of the OCDC' is a classic stitch-up. If you don't accept the premise (that there shouldn't even be a 'president') and therefore don't vote, your voice is not heard. If you fear that the vote will go ahead anyway despite an illegitimate premiss, and place a vote just to be heard, then the implication is that one has accepted the legitimacy of the process.

GR sets up a self-serving poll with highly dubious basis. After the process has started and just before completion he changes the rules or the consequences..... shameless .... Did he learn his trade from Mugabe or Berlusconi ?
