How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I just wondered if anyone can anwser this question, how come the expats on the south want reunification but most of the expats on the north are against it?

Simple, cause the ex-pats in the North are afraid they will loose their properties as they don't know whose land they are built on.

Could this by any chance be because reunification is only feasible if property rights are recognised, and most expats in the north have been sold stolen property?

i agree with that! so why are they allowed the best of both worlds ie, shopping on the south, not exactly fair is it?

anna-sh ... good point. I believe however, the TCs are allowed more than just shopping in the free areas. Jobs and full use of the health system (maybe even priority status) for example.

The RoC's EU membership has given them a lot of other free benefits, funds and grants, to the Turk-TCs in the occupied regions too.

Yes we have made their occupation of our country very comfortable :roll:
