Cyprus is Cypriot. I am proud of my Greek ethnic background and culture but Cyprus is Cypriot.

Will you take a banner saying that Cyprus is not Greek but Cypriot or perhaps you are scared of the lynch mob.

Bananiot I'm not going to give you an acocunt of what I do or don't do when I go to watch my football team play. Now, does your son wear the Greek flag on his t-shirt?

If I assume that this Richards is good enough to play for the national team, and taking into consideration the TC’s appalling track record of allegiance to Cyprus, then how do we deal with the likelihood of this fellow scoring own goals or being generally corrupt? :?

There is a serious trust issue here...

You have a point there GR...I mean why put a kid in such a difficult position where traitors to the Zurich agreement get to call all the shots and blame the player for everything.....I mean what if he was just a reserve and "Cyprus" lost.....He would still get the blame for it

He'd probably bust his balls for Cyprus when playing against Greece, but when against Turkey you'll probably find him with his shorts pulled down to his knees and bent over near the goalpost each time the Turkish strikers are on the attack and saying... "Take me mummy... take me..."

I doubt that would happen. Everytime we'd play Turkey someone would steal all our football gear the night before.
